Coolpad, A Chinese smartphone company which is known for its entry level smart phones has came back with a new phone – Cool 3 Plus. The company has propelled this cell phone in India with a unique price tag of Rs. 6,499. Soon after the dispatch, I have gotten the gadget at Scrollwindow to use it and bring detailed review of the Cool 3 Plus.

Design :-

To be completely straight at the price of Rs 6,499/ – you infrequently observe unibody metallic smartphone structure. The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus telephone offers precisely that with a tasteful looking and solid constructed, this phone gets an shiny but average looking quality. The phone is conservative enough to be held in a solitary hand and use. There is a dewdrop score at the top and a unique mark scanner at the back. The double tone shading would engage the adolescents.

The smartphone comes with a 5.71 HD+ show. The colours are not the best but rather don’t look pale either. The screen and touch is average. Coolpad has worked nicely by placing a minimum bazels screen in a compact body. This make sure the phone has a big screen and least bezels

It has rounded corners and curved edges and on the left, it sports volume rocker keys along with a power button. On the right the smartphone has a SIM tray, at the bottom, the smartphone features a micro USB port for charging and data transfer and two speaker grills. The 3.5mm headphone jack is positioned at the top along with a microphone and an earpiece.

Performance :-

The Cool 3 Plus is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek 6761 (Helio A22) quad-core processor, combined with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage capacity. It comes with Android 9 Pie in box. The phone’s performance is about normal & somewhat lagging while switching between applications. It additionally requires couple of seconds than most phones in market to process both face & fingerprint unlocking. It likewise demonstrates some lag while opening applications and shuts the applications running out of sight. The telephone has some heating issues, as well. It gets hot while using internet or playing games or even while playing a video or music. Battery of Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is a 3,000mAh battery, which goes on for about a day on moderate utilization.

There are few bloatware in the phone along with annoying pre installed apps which you can uninstall to enhance the storage and performance of the phone. This can be a decent secondary phone if you are looking for as an option for moderate usage. You can open different applications and experience your day. Any medium and light graphic games will work without any issues but heavy and intense graphic games like PubG and others will face considerable lag and the phone’s hardware is not built for the same.

Camera :-

The Cool 3 Plus has a 13-megapixel shooter on the back and an 8MP selfie camera on the front, the rear camera is just Okay which fails in low lightning conditions, the photos come under-saturated and with noise too making the picture look dull. The front camera has a similar story even though the phone has multiple options and modes in camera such as Bokeh, portrait and others but still the camera produces below par photos. The camera is just average so do not expect anything other than average from this Phone.

Verdict :-

The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus comes with a unique metallic design which is attracting but has a complete average performer in all segments. The price tag of Rs 6,499/ – looks decent but consider this phone only if you are looking for a secondary phone or for minimum usage with a long battery life. As mentioned above, the underperforming hardware and UI almost ruins the experienced plus the screen and feel is average too. Overall, for this price segment it does have a unique design with large screen and limited bazels.
